189 Whitlock Avenue / My House!
Yes everybody, this is my own house. But inherent bias aside, it really is one of the coolest places in town and here's why:
*It's across the street from Bob and Jayne Duncan's garden ( see last blog post).
* It's just blocks from the Square. We wave at people in cars on Whitlock as we beat them there on foot. It makes you feel very smart.
* The terrace level has a guest apartment with full kitchen and bath and a garden that's paradise.
*The main level kitchen underwent a top notch renovation with marble counters, flush inset cabinetry and new GE SS Appliances. The cast iron double wash board sink (approx. weight 1 ton) was refinished and re-installed.
*Per my sister Mamie, the master bath with open marble shower and herringbone floor guarantees you'll start every morning feeling like a glamorous movie star.
* With the open floor plan and terrace garden, you can easily entertain yourself and your 100 closest friends with elbow room to spare.
* Most importantly, at least was the case with us, when you walk over that threshold at the front door, it just feels right.
Come take a look everybody! We'll be having open houses both this Saturday and Sunday (October 1st and 2nd) from 2-5 so come say hi, take a look around and indulge in some awesome pastries from Miss Mamie's Bakery on the Square!
